How much you are earning by doing SEO?

By running SEO services, I have done mid-4 figures per month till Penguin (after which a lot of people got scared because I used to create structures around the blog networks).

By running SEO on my own sites, I have ranked a high number of pages that gives me solid income (affiliate) till date, although Penguin has demoted some of my sites of late.

I am doing SEO over Prospectsoftech.com & earning $ 220 per month.

Maybe you should take a different approach and offer less for FREE. Your whole website is screaming free for all kind of things that you could charge money for.

Free things should be a method to land larger clients but your packages start at 49 pounds. Why would you invest a lot of time on people by giving free rankings for 4 word phrases and competitor analysis and kw research for free to potentially make a small sale?

If I know a client is serious and wants to spend serious money, sure I'll help him with kw research and such, but even then I first take the passive approach cause I already had at least a dozen people who asked for all kind of advice and they never bought any thing (some simple advice is no problem of course but when they ask me to find the best keywords for them then I first prefer to see a payment coming in, or I need to be pretty sure the client is serious).

Mostly the freebie seekers are not the ones who make you money, simple as that, I noticed it back in the days when I had a real shop, people who kept asking questions for at least half an hour never bought anything but left with the message that they would think about it and obvious I never heard from them again. Btw, at a certain point you get a feeling for it by the type of questions that they ask. It's hard to explain really but you get a sense for it, especially in Skype chat sessions.

Another tip as well, never trust people who have big stories about tons of sites they want to rank and then end up asking a free review or heavy discount for a review. People who are serious don't act like that and don't make a problem out of a discounted copy to test the services, they just buy it or they place a large order right away (more often then not).

Freebies are not the things that drive sales, the type of service that you offer is what drives sales and reviews can help a great deal when you're just starting. When I started selling on this forum 5-6 months ago I tracked rankings of every single client and emailed them asking to leave a review, that's why most of my reviews are a bit dated, when you don't ask people to leave a review then only 1 out of 100 leaves it. People just don't think about it out of their selves, at a certain moment I got to busy so I didn't check their rankings anymore and thus the reviews only dripped in slowly but I already builded a good reputation I think, cause it only got more and more.

My slogan: The product should sell it self, then you know if it's good!

Sure flashy sales letters can help perhaps, although I haven't seen any difference in sales when I went from a simple txt sales letter to a nice themed / design sales letter.

ps: Just switching to a monthly service won't change anything, it's harder to hook a monthly client then to hook a client who orders a one time fee package
