Would like to know the exact formula to measure a keyword density, let's say for example i have an article with 500 keywords and my keyword is "quality dog food"

saw here it brings you the density Live Keyword Analysis , but im insure of the exact formula they use or it should be used

so lets say my phrase/keywords "quality dog food" appears 5 times in the article (so its total 15 word counts out of the 500)

would like to know what is the exact keyword density formula?

Is it
100*5/500
counting all the keywords

Or is it:
100*5/(500-5)
counting all the keywords - my phrase count

Or is it:
100*5/(500-5*3)
counting all keywords - my total phrase keywords count

thanks a lot

    Saw this is the formula from that site i linked above

    Density = ( Nkr / ( Tkn -( Nkr x ( Nwp-1 ) ) ) ) x 100

    Density = your keyword density
    Nkr = how many times you repeated a specific key-phrase
    Nwp = number of words in your key-phrase
    Tkn = total words in the analyzed text

    from

    How to Calculate your Keyword Density

    so im quite mixed up, is the last formula the almost correct one?
