Google Page 1 in 4 Days!

I just had to share. I just built a site and actually made it to the first page of google for my keyword in just 4 days! It's about 5,000 searches a month, so here's hoping it makes money. I have built a good number of sites that never made it to page 1 with less competition, so this is a first for me. I realize this may mean nothing at all in the grand scheme of things, but I am pretty proud of myself and just had to share.

Come back in a month and let us know if you still have page one. I've had several blogs in the past (when I cared about blogs) make it to page one within a week from just the "exact match" domain and low compete....but none of them stayed on page one, ever.

There is a "corrective" measure that will come into play within a month to 2 months that will determine if your blog is worthy to remain on page one or not. It's the same for everyone, and so I don't mean to bum you out...just letting you know.

True I agree. I have had similar experience in the past too and none of my sites/blogs stayed on page 1 after 2 months!

Well done but as a few other people have said it is very early days for your site and Google will certainly put on it's dancing shoes at some point soon! If you're not sure how you did it then the chances are you did nothing. I've had plenty of new sites that instantly go to page 1, then drop off and then the real work begins. Good look with it anyway fella.

    Tremendous job!

The fastest I have ever made it to the first page was 3 weeks and that was with a free wallpaper site, and from my understanding it's usually very easy to do this with a free wallpaper site.

You should be very, very proud of yourself.

    Love,
    Marcia

Just so you know, it takes months to really make your sites position stick. What will most likely happen is that you will experience the "google dance" over the next few months while google does it's thing. If you know this before it happens then you will be able to understand better what is happening.

I am assuming you are talking about 5000 exact match search not broad match right?

      Yeah.

And thanks to you and Joan for letting me know about the "dance". I kinda figured as much, makes total sense, but at least I'm up there for now. Hopefully it sticks or gets better. I'll come back and update after a while.

It's all for naught if it doesn't earn anyway.

Awesome job, dude! Since you said you didn't know what exactly brought you to the top spot, do you mind sharing how you actually built your site? There could be stuff there that we could spot that would really help you a lot in the search results rankings.

I've had a similar experience - a new site i made recently that has very few backlinks is on page 1 of google for several Keywords. The weird thing is the pages are outranking massive authority sites in some cases. I didn't expect this at all and i'm still trying to fathom the results which don't make sense to me at the moment. A site ranking with hardly any backlinks is news to me but it appears to be true. Things are changing!!!

    Well done m8.

The trick now will be to keep adding new and original content and get some good social networking to back up each new page.

I am finding recently that a lot less backlinks are required as social networking seem to keep the sites afloat. Just stick to a few from high quality relevant sites and keep pumping out the content.

Again congratz It's always nice to get onto page one whatever the reason.

congrats! It was due to fresh content factor. Normally new sites gets best rank but after few days Google check there actual place and then they lose ranking. I hope you will not lose.

I have an experience that my two keywords are always on first page of google but it's not a very new site. Ranking relates to your hard wrok and remember seo off-page.

Congrat's mate. You sound like you already know that this ranking might not last etc, so I won't patronize you. Hopefully you can make some money quickly and ride the wave.

There are only a couple of backlinks because it's only a few days old. Social networking/bookmarking links, like facebook, twitter, etc. The things I've done consistently on my sites that rank well is 1) Social bookmarking, 2) Make a Youtube video about the site, then make a page that embeds that video on the site, and 3) Use images whenever possible for my affiliate offers and make sure the meta tags and titles are keyword related.

However, I am really not someone to to take tips from (at least not yet ), because I don't make a living at this by a long shot. I don't even make decent extra money right now.

Congrats! Let me assume you want to keep the blog and your position.

Make sure you regularly add new original content to the site (not plr) and get each post you make indexed. Don't become too aggressive in the first month or so, but don't neglect it either.

Maybe 2-3 post for first couple of weeks, then a post a day for the next couple of weeks. Keep it active for the first month and you may just find you hold your position for awhile.

Then, keep posting new content on a regualr basis and you may end up with a valuable property that will make you money. Maybe not with adsense, but there are so many other ways to make money with your blog.
