Can I use Adsense as back-up ads?

Some ad networks have options to show other ads if there are no ads available. Can I use Adsense the back-up ads for these networks? One good example is Chitika. If Chitika has no available ads, they can either fill the space with a solid color, collapse the space or display ads from other networks. Can I use Adsense as back-up? Is it against Adsense TOS?

    I believe Adsense can be used as a back up, as that's often the case with bigger sites. Don't quote me on that though.

    Hmm, I do this - I have my eBay plugin set up to show Adsense to visitors from countries that do not have an eBay country site.

    It never really occurred to me that there would be a problem with that, unless the Googlebot thinks it's "cloaking" or something (showing something different to the Googlebot than what users see), which would be more of a search issue than an Adsense issue.

    If anyone knows otherwise, I would also be interested to know.

    before using adsense with other ads,make sure you know which are allowed to display along with adsense.check it is violating their terms or not
