Hello,

After I got hit with panda i redirected several internal urls to the home page via 301 redirects.

As I rebuilt the site goolge has begun to gnore the redirects and send people to my new urls that have similar content to what used to be on the old redirected urls.

The problem is it now associates all those old links to the new urls as well and brings the pand apenalty with them, is there a way to stop this?

I don't understand, if those new pages have a penalty as well, how is Google sending traffic to them? And why wouldn't they rank for the same keywords, aside from this penalty, if they have similar content on them? Just not sure I follow the problem.

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

ok google has ignored my 301 redirects that were put in place on the cpanel and ht access file.

it is overriding my redirects and steering people to the brand new urls (not alll the pages were completely destroyed by penguin).

in webmaster tools it is associating all those overoptimized links to the new urls it has picked out completely ignoring my 301 request, so for most of the new urls they are getting the penalty from the old links pointing to the old urls.

In other words google picked a page on my site and said "hmm this is similar to the one that used to be on your website so we will send all the traffic here and we will associate links that dont even link to this page to it anyways, and if the penalty comes a long with it oh well"
