Hi everyone,
Brand new to the site, heres first question

So Google Panda update rewards great content placed on your site even more than ever before. Should I post articles containing keywords on my own site, or submit them the article directories like I've always done. I know if publish same article on article directory and my site their is duplicate content penalty?

Thanks

Use a multi-pronged approach, while keeping the keywords the same.

Place a post or article on your site, and then write new articles with similar themes/topics but same keywords for sites such as Ezine Articles, Squidoo, and other Web 2.0 sites.

Yes it's more writing, but it is definitely worth it in the end. And once you've written one article, it's pretty easy to just re-work it using different wording and phrases. I would avoid article spinners, because most of them spit out junk.

Remember - while your goal is to please the search engines, ultimately you're writing for people, and if it's junk, they won't read it.

Also make sure to back up your article-campaigns with social media exposure for your site as well.

This is a part Alexa is most good at... Is she here?

Let me try while we hope she gets in right on time too.

Posting your content on any site other than your site first is only going to help build the article directory or wherever you have it published.

It is always advisable to post on your site first before giving it to any site and when indexed, you can then proceed to publish it on other people's site.

Submitting content already published on your site is not DUPLICATE CONTENT but CONTENT SYNDICATION which is a Great way for back linking and passing news/info Unchanged, why do you think press release exist and works so well.

This topic has been rehashed to death here...do a search and you'll get hundreds of pages of people arguing it every which way.

Post your content to your own page first...if you want to post it elsewhere later, do that. Build your own business first, not someone else's.

No reason to ever post your good article anywhere else.
If you must, and really there is no "must," then rehash
a bare bones article that's crap. Much like the crap
      on ezine.

I quit doing that years ago. Why not work on really
promoting your site, instead of filling out someone
      elses?

Now squidoo is another animal. I abuse that to the
max. It's your page. Your baby. I don't do a crappy
rehash article for that. I use a squidoo-friendly
one, reconditioned, to full amp out the lens.

Like I said, squidoo is my baby. I earn money from it.
I get backlinks from it. Not the same as filling out
some crappy article directory. And IMHO, they have
all turned to crap. Just had a funny thought. Why would
I want my site linked with something I thought was crap?

You can put lipstick on a pig, but you still have a pig.

Stupid me. When I first joined EZA, I thought all the articles
were crap. But I thought my hard work would give better
articles, and published GOOD stuff. Stupid me.

Exactly! And never build up anyone elses!

    1) Google doesn't know what good content is.

    2) Duplicate content isn't a penalty. Same site duplicate content simply gets sent to Supplemental SERPs, not a penalty.

Post it to your site. Wait until it gets indexed and them submit it to various article directories. You would think it's duplicate content but it's not. This is what you call article syndication.

If use same content on 2 sites then it will be considered as duplicate and submit posts on your website because article directory is not worth it.
