I am using automated SEO tools for a long time. From my own experience I have compared some effective automated SEO tools. Hope this will help my fellow warriors to take decision while buying SEO tools. I didn't use any affiliate link here.

Neat post. Will be great for people who are in the buying mode.

By the way, since this is the SEO forum, it would be great if you start a different thread within this forum (or on the IM Products Review and Ratings forum) discussing your experience with each of them, and refer to this thread for your price comparisons...

Each of these tools is powerful, but the main power depends on how you are using it, which controls the success rate !!!

I personally rely on SEnuke X and Xrumer. Scrapebox is a must use software.
      - Using SEnuke X I create 1st tier links
      - Using Scrapebox I filter out the live links.
      - Then I use Xrumer Blast to create huge 2nd tier links.
      - Besides these, I use Nuclear Link Indexer to index all backlinks.
This is my super SEO formula which is working after penguin too.

If XRumer and SENuke both do forum profile posting, then why do people say to buy both?

        Wouldn't SENuke be enough?

The current version of SEnuke X can has around 550 forum list, you can add your own site. But using Xrumer you can post thousands of forum posts at once.
My recommendation is, use SEnuke X to create your 1st tier backlinks and use Xrumer to create 2nd tier links.

      • Magic Submitter does offer fast domain indexing so I think you can tick the indexing option too.

Magic Submitter doesnt offer a lifetime license but does offer a massive discount on the annual subscription.

You can pick up an annual subscription for $474.

This will provide a massive saving of $330 each year.

Basically, I depend on SEnuke XCr, Xrumer and Scrapebox. After Penguin I am getting results too. Its not the tools, its how the SEO person is using them. My strategy is like following :
      - I create quality 1st tier backlinks using SEnuke XCr
      - Then I create 2nd tier Forum Profile backlinks using Xrumer
      - At last I create huge 2nd tier Blog Comments using Scrapebox.

The most powerful ones are Senuke X and MS, in my opinion. I used them both and based on the success rate (less than 65%) - I've quit on both. MS still has back linking bugs (doesn't post the anchor texts properly), but Krulik-the developer continuously improves its performance. What is common to both of them - for the asked monthly subscription they are waaay expensive and over-rated. I've posted my opinion on TheProgrammer's WSO promoting MS and my posts were deleted 3 times in a row. This is not a honest way to make money, man !
For the $67/month or for $147/month I prefer to use Fiverr's guys - hundreds of thousands of more and better quality backlinks than using any of the above softwares. For me using MS and SenukeX was a big waste of time (open accounts, subscribe for each service, add new services and open new accounts for them when they become available, schedule backlinking, write and spin articles, etc.) and I prefer to focus on some other more valuable activities.
This is my personal opinion and, from what I found on-line, I'm not the only one having it.

My opinion is don't compromise quality of backlink with money. Fiverr guys can provide you backlinks, but they will not ping and never index your backlinks. Without indexing backlinks have no value. When its SEO, never go for cheap $5 gigs, this may harm your site also. Rather hire experienced SEO contractors from Odesk, Elance who have positive feedback.

There are lot of problem is SENuke like how to link a site in social network don't use usual link biut use the dofollow link format. In Article Submission almost all site don't have auto approve and only few sites. Also with press release. About forum.. You can't customize bio like {sitelink} is a broad term covering many different skills and disciplines that are used in the production and maintenance of websites. and the software just doing like this Web design is a broad term covering many different skills and disciplines that are used in the production and maintenance of websites. {Site link} also with web 2.0 profile.

I think that tool is not the best in all of those softwares.

I would be interested if someone updates the chart by adding Ultimate Demon and GSA Ser. Both of them are much more reasonably priced and offer lifetime licenses. Reviews for both have been pretty good as well. Also, could you add a row that lists which of the tools allow for addition of custom platforms/sites. I know Magic Submitter allows that and maybe Senuke XCR. Not sure about Ultimate Demon and GSA.

No software is good for newbies, first one should have proper knowledge of SEO and then he/she should use automated tools, otherwise he/she can harm the website ranking.

For ranking low comp keywords, which tool is better in terms of being cost effective. Magic Submitter or Sick Submitter?

I heard that Sick Submitter requires packets and a lot of tweaking to get efficient results. On that basis, is MS a better choice.

No, you are not right. Each of the tools I stated here is powerful and can work without penalty, if one uses it properly. Main thing is, it depends on the person who is using it. Proper SEO knowledge is very important to run these tools, otherwise one can harm his own site and that is not the fault of the tool.

you'll only get penalize if you use the tool wrong, scrapebox seemingly has a bad rap, maybe cuz the software's biggest advocates is another webforum. Anyway it is almost the best scraper in the world, some would argue hrefer takes the spot, i aruge with gscraper. some would say it's about the best poster as well... this is where a tool can get used wrong.

commonly scrapebox is used to backlink your backlink of a backlink, in nearly all schemes it is used a tier 3, sometimes a tier 2 and it's in the hopes of passing on linkjuice much later while prioritizing indexing with mass link exposure.

or you can use scrapebox wrong, read a "how to scrapebox" guide from 2010 and blast your money site with a 200k aa list.

it might work, it might not, it'll surely dance, if it falls down or does a pirouette, is up to chance at that point.

again it's in how you use the tool.

amr is pretty cruddy now, but still works if you want to build a tier 2 and is a good way to update a pbn.

Scrapebox is an awesome harvester. I needed to drive some traffic to a new site awhile back so I fired it up, plugged in a few hundred niche-related keywords, & searched for forum posts that were indexed within the past 24 hours. I then ran the forums themselves through an Alexa & PR check to get a general idea of how popular they were. Trimmed the list down to 10 high traffic forums that have people actively posting about the niche I'm promoting.

From there it was just a matter of joining, adding a link to my sig if allowed, and making a few GOOD posts / replies a day on each. The traffic is really, REALLY targeted and converts very well. Forum posting is old-school, but it's still one of my favorite traffic methods.

You don't need any softwares tools to rank in the serps. The only tool you'll ever need is your "brain", if you have that, your onto a winner!

Thank you for this. I've found that several competitors are using Magic Submitter and I've been considering it.

GSA Search Engine ranker should be included in this comparison if you plan to revise this thread. Thanks for the comparison chart though, making it easier to compare those tools.

    Woefully inaccurate detailing of Xrumer.

It is capable of posting at all of the CMS'es listed (or virtually anything without javascript), has had a scheduler for 5+ years, does have a trial, etc....

I know Xrumer isn't very popular on this forum and that's okay. It's not for everyone and even less so these days than it had been in the past - but you would think if you were going to go through all the work to produce an infographic that they would have at least tried to get it right.

No better way to prove them then use them. I appreciate all the comments here as I'm still researching the value and use of these programs.

I'm contemplating on leasing a VPS that will host licensed copies of SEnuke XCr, Xrummer (7.7) and Hrefer (3.85). There will be many more there as well, but I'm thinking some experienced partners to share the costs/use would be great value!

My vote goes for SEnuke XCr. You can create 2-3 tier links also using this tool. Magic Submitter also can do this, but its not as much user friendly as SEnuke.

Novice should not go with the software which has monthly subscription. So, I don't recommend SEnuke or Magic Submitter for them. Start with Scrapebox (This is a must have tool for SEO persons), then gradually move with Article Marketing Robot, Bookmarking Demon etc.

Monthly subscriptions has nothing to do with whether a novice would benefit or not. Comparing Scrapebox to MS is like apples and oranges. Novices should start by learning and fully understanding what each software does first, then decide which software would best suit your purposes.

No novice should keep his money on risk at the beginning, monthly subscription based tools will charge at starting, whether the tool may not be very much useful to the novice. So, I suggested to start with simple tools, then move to harder tools. This doesn't mean to compare Apple & Orange.

It's not how easy or difficult the software is to use, it's whether or not you understand what the software does. UD is also a monthly subscription. In what ways are scrapebox, article marketing robot, and ultimate demon even related? A screwdriver is cheaper and easier to use than a spot welder, doesnt mean they do the same things.

Exactly...A worker who wants to be expert, must know first how to use the screwdriver, then he should go to work with spot welder.

No, a worker who wants to be expert must know first what the screwdriver does and how he/she can use it to accomplish his/her task, and also know that a screwdriver can't weld 2 sheets of metal together, just as a spot welder can't drive a screw into wood.

So, with which tool the novice worker should start ? with the screwdriver, or from the beginning with a spot welder ? Simply answer this, and you will get the answer of the argument.

Dude, I get you are trying to help. Nothing wrong with the logic that you start with simpler tools. I am saying that you don't start with a screwdriver if your intention is to weld metal, because you dont use a screwdriver for that!

Same with SEO tools. Why would you dump money into Scrapebox if your intention is to build Web20's? Scrapebox doesn't do that. AMR doesn't do that.. Understand what you are using the tool for before you go buy one. Peace out!

I don't want to re-iterate WHY I wouldn't touch any SEO software today anymore with a long pole.

But just as a side-note, even in the past, before Hummingbird etc....did anyone EVER provide proof that they achieved great rankings using any of them?

Claiming some vague statement how "XYZ is the best" is one thing...hard facts showing how Senuke ranked a site to the top are another. I have in-fact never seen evidence that, say, Senuke did ANYTHING in terms of rankings.
(All you need to do is look over the extremely crappy list of sites Senuke spams to, say the list of article directories which must be the crappiest list of article sites in existence..same with Wikis or whatever other properties it uses)

But...go ahead and pay the monthly fee for spamming some badly spun articles using brand-new Web2.0 accounts to PR0 pages...lol..and report back your "success" and what a good investment it was

I totally aggree with you GeorgR that in the long run all these tactics will be useless. People really still don't understand everytime Big G. makes an algo update, some people get hurt.

Whatever you do, they will catch you someday. How can we not see that a lot of people got hurt? You are not hurt does not mean you will not in the near future.

One thing I don't agree with GeorgR is that people still rank really good with these tactics but I bet they will get hurt sooner or later. When I analyze their backlink profile I see that actually they are making crappy backlinks or worse, when people see their backlink profile, they do the same thing turn it into a link farm so that a while later, that backlink becomes a crappy one.

If you want a decent backlink profile in the long run, you must acquire legit backlinks from legit places with low number of links and high quality content. This means that if you can get a backlink easily form somewhere, others can do it as well.

My strategy is to start with good quality content first, optimize pages, create profile from high pr social sites which are also dofollow, submit to trustworthy directories, contact auhority bloggers and comment their blogs and find backlinks from only high pr pages, not thousands but few, quality not quantity.

I don't say all these tools are useless, but you can also use them for white hat purposes for many asppects, they can speed up your process. You can easily find keywords, relevant high pr blogs to write relevant and quality comments etc. I believe Big G is developing the algos every other they and they are catching more and more everyday. If I can see with my naked eyes, also they can, considering they also recruit humans for physical reviews of the web.

When you do harm to your competitors who are working hard and decent, you are actually stealing from them. So it is better to use these tools for good reasons, not to harm others.

With due respect, SEO tools are not lamp of Aladin that you will scratch and your site will be on top, these are just tools to automate your work. Now, if you do garbage postings using SEnuke, then it is not the fault of the tool.

I can't blame any tool, rather I blame the strategy used by people. A knife can be used for both good and bad purposes, same law applicable for SEO tools also, everything depends on how you are using the tool.

If anyone take SEO tools as Lamp of Aladin, then I have nothing to say, he/she just need to change the point of view before using it.

One important thing, I am still getting first page ranking using these SEO tools.

Agree with you. Good Content counts + not going for tons of backlinks (quality over quantity).

For example: a tool that i like GSA can build 1000's of backlinks which can help for nothing....and (by using strict rules), the same tool can build 20 or 30 backlinks (just to say something), that may help you to bump your ranks.

Tip: GSA > YouTube Videos works very well.

    Just my 2 cents.

The main reason of loving GSA is its option to create backlinks from relevant niches, Google likes this also and it helps to get ranking faster.

SEnuke is still effective in some cases, but now I recommend GSA Search Engine Ranker, because it has all those features which a SEO expert needs. Most important part is it can create backlinks from relevant niches, which Google likes very much. And this strategy is still effective after Penguin and Panda updates.

Nice report! But, I would still say Article Marketing Robot has the ability to take you so far, I used it for 1st tier backlinks and it was worth using them Thoughts may vary!

This is the problem, using premade template means you leave some footprint for search engines. I recommend to use such a template which is unique and goes with your needs, thats it.

Neat post. Will be great for people who are in the buying mode.

By the way, since this is the SEO forum, it would be great if you start a different thread within this forum (or on the IM Products Review and Ratings forum) discussing your experience with each of them, and refer to this thread for your price comparisons...

    Thanks for the updated table!

I would personally go for GSA SER which is not included in the review above. Mostly though, i tend to stay away from those automated link building programs unless if you want to strengthen and diversify some 2nd and 3rd tiers.
