Dofollow Blog Checker

I have been working on creating an application that makes it easier to find and share dofollow blog lists.

Currently the application is in the final beta testing stage, so there are still a few kinks to iron out, but it is producing some pretty nice lists. And the more it gets used the better the lists become.

As a quick share, here is a section from the PR4 dofollow blog list, as generated by the checker:
PR4 jhsiess.com
PR4 gradmoneymatters.com
PR4 awebsitedesigner.com.au
PR4 sweetsfoods.com
PR4 vancesova.com
PR4 sitesketch101.com
PR4 evafobia.ru
PR4 nickstraffictricks.com
PR4 unlimitedchoice.org
PR4 smartbloggerz.com
PR4 designersdigest.co
PR4 writenjoy.com
PR4 famousbloggers.net
PR4 tamarindonews.com
PR4 durhamparent.com
PR4 bungust.com
PR4 crayonwriter.com
PR4 windowstalk.org
PR4 acidforblood.net
PR4 holisticpetinfo.com
PR4 sheltietales.com
PR4 pastymuncher.co.uk
PR4 hackneypost.co.uk
PR4 seo-writer.com
PR4 pledgingforchange.com
PR4 technologybloggers.org
PR4 jronaldlee.com
PR4 kthread.com
PR4 blog.hichamaged.net
The checker also checks the pagerank of a site and if the site employs keywordluv, commentluv and any major 3rd party comment system. Such as disqus.

The checker can be found here:
dofollowchecker.com
and the first major list extracted is here:
smuggecko.com/do-follow-list

Little Help
If you could give the application a quick test and let me know of any issues you might find, or how useful you found the tool. That would be great. The more feedback I can get the better.

Known Issues
Because there are literally countless ways to name the classes of divs and spans that make up comment sections, I have to manually code the various catchers and checkers.
This means that the checker can never produce a 100% perfect result.
However, the system does inform me when it fails to find a comment section and I can then manually update the system. Something I have been doing for a few months now. And the system has been improving greatly.

It should be noted that the system is geared towards the most popular blog types, such as wordpress and typepad. It will struggle to work with custom sites. Purely because they do not employ the same methods of housing the comment section.

Hope my tool helps someone

Thanks for the share. I hope the blogs are not spammed to death, otherwise they would be useless for blog commenting. Thank you for your time, I would give your application a try

There are many lists, and even some directories available that identify blogs with DoFollow commenting. DoFollow commenting essentially means that the blog owner has removed the nofollow attribute from the comment author's links, thus making them valuable for link building purposes. And of course, those who are familiar with SEO know that the more backlinks you have, the better your site will do in search engine results, especially if you have good anchor text for these links.

You are all very welcome and with regards to the issue of spam. Most of the blogs that the dofollow blog checker lists are heavily moderated, so spam should get blasted away. Leaving room for quality comments only. Of course as these are not blogs of mine I can not promise this.

For those people using the checker, please leave me some feedback if possible. I am always working to improve the checker and produce good quality dofollow lists.

    Thanks

I'm telling to add you because I have checked some and it is showing 'no information available'. (see this http://www.freemakemoneyadvice.com/ ) It seems to nice one..

Well these blogs which has (see below) are of no use I think so? And do you have any ideas when the moderators of your listed dofollow blogs generally approved the comments?
      (X) CommentLuv
      (X) KeywordsLuv

Showing the user lists of commentluv and keywordluv blogs is useful. To most people these blogs can appear to be no follow, but as long as you follow the posting rules that usually accompany these plugins, then you can gain some great dofollow links. You just have to work a little harder.

As stated this application is currently in the beta testing stage, so still a few bugs. Which does include missing information.

The results depends heavily on the search terms I used to check google and yahoo and bing. If for some reason a blog can not be found using my specific search terms, then the application can not check for comments.
Sometimes the checker might also only find posts with no comments. So there is nothing for it to check.

This is the biggest issue. Thanks for you feedback

Dude, on what criteria you (your admin) will give feedbacks/ratings to the blogs? More comments or for dofollow links comments?
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6492977].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author smuggecko
The rating criteria is based on two things:
    dofollow vs nofollow links
presence of commentluv with posting rules

If a blog has 2 dofollow links out of 100 post comments you would get a 2% rating. Of the same blog is using commentluv with posting rules then it will be given 100%.

This is because the blog is dofollow, but you as the user have to put in a little more work to get your comment/link added. This is not a mistake.

    hope that helps

Right now the dofollow blog checker works b searching for a set group of terms and regular expressions. In google, yahoo and bing. Unless the search results differ on those search engines, then the return from the checker will remain constant.

Although, I am planning to release a pro version that offers the user the ability to choose from a selection of search terms and parameters.

The pro version will also check page pr, not just domain pr. And it will cost a monthly fee. Not much tho
