Hello everyone.I was learning seo a while back and was just getting the swing of things.I have come back to find out about the new google changes .g penguin and panda updates.

But my question is does it really matter?! The reason i am saying that cause i just typed a keyword into google and checked there backlinks and everyone of them has articles in made up blogs and the articles dont even make sense, some are even in different languages. Not much varied anchor to.

I then look at the backlinks to the blog and they look like they have just been blasted.

Hopefully someone can shed some light cheers

Panda and Penguin, and Lion, Ducky, Elephant, Jaguar.

    They all matter.

    They should be encouraging.

They should encourage you to build, write, and post quality.

Don't try to "trick" Google; stop all this blackhat madness.

Diversity your links with quality and organic content.

Be natural in your diversification, and you'll win, regardless of what zoo animal big G unleashes.

100% they matter whichever animals google decides to throw next, if they havnt caught one site for bad seo, blackhat, and s*** content they will,
no point trying to cut corners, be an honest marketer and webmaster, in the long run you will be rewarded!

That is a very nice answer :-)

Work with google and not against them and give the users what they wanted

If I have fresh and quality content with backlinks from relevant niches then I don't think panda and penguin has any effect.

Panda and Penguin all these are an award for quality websites or bogs.

The google penguin update all about fresh content and user redirecting issues.
Every blogger should write fresh content and not redirect your post to other website.

Google is all about "relevant content". The algorithms get better everyday at weeding out content that is not relevant to the topic at hand. You can't find 1000 blogs on shoes, and then go post links on them leading directly to your squeeze page on "car insurance" and expect to gain page rank just because you posted on "do follow" blogs.

Here's what Google's Guru, Matt Cutt's has to say on the subject.

Google is hip to this kind of "irrelevant backlinking" and when they see the pattern repeating over and over on your website, you start moving farther back in the SERPS.
