      Andy, what do you mean add your link where your name goes? Literally add the url instead of your name, or add your anchor text (keywords) in the name field?

      The anchor text of your link is crucial. Especially on no-follow links, where SE won't likely pay attention to anything other than the anchor text.

      That can be a problem sometimes. I generally try to focus on blogs that have 10 comments per post. IF a blog is claimed to be dofollow but dont have comments it's usually very heavily moderated so their own mother wouldn't be approved. And if the blogs has 100's of comments per post you will only get a watered down dofollow backlink.

    I have do follow on my blogs but I get so much spam that akismit grabs 20 or more a day because they have too many links . I used to check through them for real comments but I don't anymore . I figure if you are commenting on a blog then you know what akismit allows and if you overdo it... deleted .
    Just use a little courtesy and common sense and I will give you all the link juice I got .

      I did a review of 3 popular dofollow search sites. The results were pretty poor. Only 55% dofollow.

      You can get the details on my blog. (see signature) As a bonus I'm including 45 dofollow blogs that are PR2 and higher.
