How to do linkbuilding

14 years ago

Your question isn't quite clear. If you want to do link building yourself - you can start by simply writing articles and distributing them to article directories, blogs, and other web sites. It's time-consuming, but it's a great place to start.

If you're outsourcing this service, then who you hire should know what they're doing already.

  I'm not sure that the link building is the important bit. back in the day perhaps, but without content, content that is good and shareable, there is almost no point building links.

  Link Building is knowing where to place your content.
  Content is what makes links valuable/viral.

  And links without good content, are links that arn't worth much.

  just my opinion

If you're doing it by yourself, you should know how the people would want to see you on the Internet. You should also know what they want from you. Get to know them by joining online forums and groups on social media sites so that you know what they really want to see. Create content based on that data you've gathered and share links that will lead the people to that content. Make it easy for them to share your content on their social media pages so that it can reach their networks.

I beg to differ this comment, dont read to much, thats what we all did and regret. You will find 1000's of ways, each contradicting the other.

take action -> review results -> optimize/revision whats working/not working -> rinse -> repeat.

Good luck !

If new to SEO, start with
1. Blog Commenting - It means visiting blogs related to your genre and putting comments on those blogs (accompanied by link to your site)
2. Social Bookmarking: Make a page for your site on FB, create an Twitter account and add your site to google+
3. Search for Online Web Directories and Submit your URL to them.

These are the best things to do, imo, for beginners.

It is basic, but good advice.

I would also suggest doing your local search submissions to boost your website rank and traffic. Be sure to be 100% consistent on name, address, phone description
