Ranking on a misspelled word?

Hello!

I'm new to this world and I'm going to start my first website soon (I have another blog which I make a post every 2-3 days, but I'm thinking on giving up on that). Oh well, so I thought I'd start up a new website with a wordpress CTR theme like ClickBump and then write on that topic and pop on some ads.

Oh well, so I found a great keyword, it happens to have 8300 searches a month, there is low competition, there is not a single website with that misspelling, (it's one letter ontop of a real word, for example "warriorforumo").

And the best part is the average CPC, $8.93 whereas the real word without the misspelling has the avg. CPC of $33.95.

What do you think? Good keyword?

Thanks

If it doesn't pan out (not all of them do), you just have to be prepared to move on to the next one. The cost of failure in this case is very low, compared to the potential upside of hitting a niche at the right time.

Before proceeding though, verify that your 8300 searches per month is on "Exact" match and not "broad" which can be very misleading.
Actually, there is a really good reason not to proceed with this. Several years ago Google started auto-correcting misspellings and giving search results for the correct spelling.

Type it into the search bar and try it.

Nobody will ever find you with the misspelling.

    Google auto-corrects mispelled searches now.

You're about 3 to 4 years to late, no matter what the completely misinformed folks in this thread tell you...

Like Mike said, it's not as simple as buying the misspelled EMD like it was a few years ago.

The misspelling works better as a new brand, rather than trying to bank on sloppy search traffic.

An example of a branded misspelled word/site would be something like dwolla (it's a play on the word dollar).

I'm sure a lot of words are misspelled every second of the day, but the Google "Did you mean" auto correct makes it more difficult to get that traffic.

little bit of doubt i have in mind. Let me clear, if you manage to rank for that keyword and getting thousand of visitors from the search, but still they are not intended customers who willing to purchase your product. it is coming from mistakenly typed keywords.
