Looking thru some of these wso's about promotion amazon
Almost all products I come across have the pictures at the top of google and
some also have pictures at the top left of google.
Do you still go after these keywords are do you try to find products without them?

It seems these would kill your conversions.

As long as my review can rank on page one (preferably above the fold), I'll write it. People looking for product reviews tend to click multiple listings in the SERPs so I haven't seen any issues with conversions.

Are you talking about competing in the SERPs with Amazon and other big name store's images? If so, then usually people are looking for more information than just product descriptions (that the stores give). They usually want to hear people's opinion and so they'll click the NON-big name store site.
