Tips on How to the Find Low Comp Amazon Products?

All of the recent Amazon success threads have finally convinced me to take action and start diverting more focus to building Amazon sites.

I'm already making pretty decent $ with a few Adsense and CPA sites, but can't seem to wrap my head around Amazon review sites.

I'm doing initial keyword/product research, and Amazon is almost always ranking #1, sometimes #1, 2 AND 3, even for super long tail search terms.

I keep seeing post after post about ranking on page 1 without any backlinks whatsoever, but after doing a couple hours of product research, this doesn't really seem all that feasible.

Amazon is a lion, and I'm not really trying to **** around with a lion.

Any tips/guides on how to find low comp products that amazon isn't dominating the search engines for?

Believe me, it is certainly feasible. To be honest, outranking Amazon is actually quite easy if you just do decent on-page SEO. It's really not the lion you think it is.

Working my way through your blueprint now. Just watching the vid so far, haven't even gotten to the blueprint itself and I already feel like I've learned a lot about how to approach amazon.

I just picked a seemingly solid niche, a good brandable .com, and I'll update this thread in a month or so with my findings on how effective the methods contained in the blueprint are.

Amazon, Wikipedia, etc, are essentially the "default" results when nothing else of real value is available. So outranking an Amazon product page isn't quite as hard as some would think.

Just requires some quality content, proper on-page SEO, and quality backlinks.
