Alternative to Market Samurai?

Hello warriors!

For a while I have used Market Samurai, but lately it has been dramatically slow and not as useful as it used to be.

Not only am I looking for a keyword research program, but also something that has all of the amenities that market samurai had. Such as the ad creator. Basically a program that is well established.

If you have a lot of rank tracking keyword and/or history that can slow down MS significantly....

Look at your project files... if they are more than 10 MB in size consider deleting all your Rank Tracking data - i.e. delete all keywords from RT... that will clear out the history records...

If you still want to track rank for those keywords copy them to the clipboard before you delete them... then add them back in again...

And do a backup copy of the project file before you do this...

The type of keyword research tool depends a bit on what type of research you do and how much.

The biggest complaint against MS (and similar) products is their speed. It's fine if you are checking a small number of keywords, but scale it up and it soon becomes frustrating.

Traffic Travis isn't too bad if you are on a budget. It's keyword research features aren't as powerful as MS, but it is significantly easier to use (imho)

  Only difference is the reaction would be very strong and not equal i.e. good gets rewarded with lots of good and bad gets rewarded with lots of bad.....so watch your actions carefully...

  Keyword Canine is a brilliant keyword research tool. Not sure if you can still get in at the moment, but if you can I would highly recommend it as a much better alternative than Market Samurai.

  I like MS too. I don't think it's outdated in regards to the data it provides. But I will say it's slow.

Market Samurai is the best as far I as I am concerned, however I have heard good reviews on TrafficTravis

MS is a POS.

Use the Google Keyword Tool and SpyGlass for keyword research. If you need a desktop application for tracking ranks, Rank Tracker (SEO Powersuite) or Advanced Web Ranking. They both blow away MS.
