SEO For Dating Site

I am developing a local niche dating site and am now thinking about SEO. Im not interested in comments regarding the pros or cons of starting a dating site. Just advice on SEO. Most dating sites, unlike blogs have very little text on the homepage.. How can you optimize with keywords, h1 and h2 titles etc without text content ..?
Any thoughts warriors..?

    Optimizing with just the titles? It's going to be tough to rank your site in such a high competition niche with just that...

    If I were you, I would still write articles, where you would, for example, give advice on how to write a good dating profile or how to introduce yourself in a first message... and use those to get ranked.

    As for the KWs to use, I would go for long tail...

      Perhaps I did not explain enough.. I am not new to SEO and have numerous websites still ranking well.. What I am curious about is the fact that dating sites
      are not like a blog of information based site.. Generally the homepage has very little text/articles.. So how best to optimize..
      For instance should I just incorporate a well written article on the homepage.. I have already researched the keywords, and yes they are longtail phrases. I take your point about about including articles offering advice..

        At the bottom of the page on in the side bar maybe create a few links to articles with the article title and then the beginning of the article with a read more link, this could go to your blog and could actually be quite helpful for your readers if you are giving them high quality advice.

        I'm in a similar industry to yours ( I own a matchmaking agency) and I know the visitors to my site take a lot of value in fresh content and so does Google.

    add a blog to your site, and have a feed with recent posts (not the whole post) on the homepage, add a twitter feed, google+ etc all of which will be putting fresh content onto the homepage and keeping it full with more text based information. Then use TITLE + DESCRIPTION to your best ability

    You can also add a a short paragraph optimized in the bottom of the page or as a small introduction around 300-500max words and this will help a lot. using H1 H2 etc. (It also isnt a bad idea to modify your homepage template to use text as text instead of images of text that way you can incorpoarte the H1 and H2 elements also

    The SAME problem happens if you try to optimize a site built as a 1 page flash on a domain (that means 0 content for google just 1 image and 1 page indexed) useless! solution add some paragraphs that are usefull, you can also build an HTML version of the site.> this was beside the point the first part is relevent
