The Google keyword tool is very effective. It will show you search terms that have been searched on Google every month. I assume that you know how to use it, but if not, you will see the Broad, Exact, & Phrase search terms for each of the keywords.

When I search a keyword, I click all of these terms to see which one gives the most results. If you are new at this I would suggest picking out a "Low" competition keyword with high traffic to rank for.

But to answer your question, yes, it is a very effective tool and you can count on these search terms every month to get ranked for a particular keyword.

Yes, I have good hand on using keyword tool. So far I just go with exact option and I am quite satisfied with the results I get and I used it too. Please explain me how useful it is to select all three options? Will that give more accurate results for the keyword we targeting?

Google keyword's insight search option is a very useful feature. It allows you to show the 12 month stats or even you want you can see a specific month's stat for a keyword. Moreover I like another thing of insight search option- It gives you an idea which keyword's search rate is increasing and which keyword's search rate have been falling.
