Only PPC... Nothing else... What do you think?

Hi.

I can get Cost Per Click around $0.03-0.07 maximum in my market.
I have an idea...
To create seven products (small ebooks) and place them in one website.
Cost for each book will be $9.00 or something.
Each product with its own landing page.
No SEO. No email lists. Nothing. Only PPC?

What do you think?
Can a strategy like that be profitable?

Any ideas?

Nothing wrong with ppc i think. But why not build several video's or submit several articles, build a fan page etc etc every month for your secondary traffic source? You'll get more visitors and maybe buyers for free and for life.

PPC is one of the best things to make money fast (assuming you know how to do PPC and your product landing page is converting!!).

But you must keep an eye on your PPC expenses constantly! Optimize it.
Try many ads until you find one that converts.

You must know which keyword converts/doesn't convert. Stop those which don't.

You must set your ROI in %. Like if you want 100% ROI and your payout from ebook would be $27 then you must stop keyword if you spend $13.5 and generated no conversion.

In the end you will end up with just few profitable keywords.

If I can add something more to help you...

Don't sell just e-book.. rather sell video course (and charge people more)..today you can use very powerful yet cheap tools like OptimizePress wordpress theme and combined with Wishlist Member membership plugin.

It's up to you. Test what works for your clients if e-book or course.

            Marios,

If you want to market your product in Greece then really start with PPC (Adwords?) and closely monitor (setup conversion tracking) which keywords are making you money. Then stop the rest of keywords that are not making you any money.

In the next step, do some onpage optimizing your site but only for keywords that PPC converted !! So you will have keyword winners. Maybe it'll be easy to optimize the page and become #1 in search engine results rather than paying PPC costs forever. But you'll never know if you don't run your PPC campaign.

your PPC cost is very low dude.
But To see the result don't invest a lot in this ok? Just invest as minimum as possible to see the conversion rate. then you can take your own decision.

I doubt you can get a CPC of 3 to 7 cents for each of the seven ebooks you have in mind. If you can, great. Is that for top positions? Have you actually achieved this or is it simply conjecture (what the keyword tool estimates)?

Although you are selling them at low cost, you will be profitable as long as your conversion rate is good. Wouldn't take much if your CPC is that low. Even one percent means $3 to $7 in advertising costs per 100 visitors leaving you with $2 to $6. I simply doubt the numbers you're giving us.

I don't see anything wrong with using only PPC. The question is why would you not use other methods as well?

      It is checked.
      I live in Greece.
I have targeted kewords in greek language and characters and I asked google to show my ads only on some selected countries I know there are a lot of Greeks.
I also asked to not showing ads in Greece because there is a lot of competition in my country.

It this way I am the only one biding for "ελληνική λέξη" for example in US, most of the time! So, I have low CPC.

I will use other methods in the future.
I want to invest money >> get money >> tweak campains >> re-invest ... etc.

There is nothing wrong with this approach. I would be sure to utilize quality landing pages and optimize them for conversions. You want people to find what they are looking for quick.

Also, keep an eye on your keywords and make sure to filter out the ones that aren't getting much juice. Hope everything works out.

Since, PPC involves money... so, it becomes a clever and risky game. If you are master of this techniques, then you can go ahead. Else, you better go for organic SEO first and then try your hands on PPC.

You can try also a test to let your Ads being displayed in all countries/all languages but only if they type your keywords in greek letters. So if somebody sitting in Africa/India etc and typing greek word in greek letters into Search engine, then he/she is for sure can speak/read Greek.

If you didn't start with your account, you can test the CPC and get one $75 free voucher valid for new accounts (opened less than 14days ago!). Send me PM message if you need one.
