Managing Google Places for Multiple Clients

We just started experimenting with claiming and managing Google Places for some existing clients. To do so, we first create a gmail account under the client's business name, then use it to log in and claim the Places listing.

The first several times, we had no problem. But now it requires us to add a mobile number for verification each time we create a new gmail account.

I'm assuming they've taken note of our IP and that this is an anti-spamming measure. I don't want to claim multiple listing using a single gmail account. Can anyone suggest a workaround or another way to manage Google Places for clients?

    Three options:

    Don't use a gmail account. Use Ymail, Yahoo, Hotmail, create your own email.

    Start using proxies, but Google is pretty good at recognizing a lot of those.

    Third option, have the client setup a Gmail account of their own and give you the login details.

      Even if we use a Yahoo email, we still have to create a Google account with that Yahoo email to be able to claim the page. When we do, we are still required to enter a mobile number for verification.

        I forgot about that.

        I usually have the client create a Google account and give me the login details.

    Likely is something best left in the hands of the client from the beginning. Google should allow "Site admins" to manage multiple places.
