Hey guys, I asked this question in the main forum and was advised to ask the question here for better results. I did a quick search here and people were only recommending using backlink checker.

In Search Engine, how do I Check Back Links of Competing Pages?

Like there is a search engine operator right?

Like "Link:TheDomainName.com/category/page"

The trouble is the above doesnt work. I tried putting a space between "Link:" and "DomainName.com" but I am uncertain if the search results all have links pointing back to my competition url. I tried using the with and without the www. and with and without the http:// But I dont think google is showing be the correct results.

I tried Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Yahoo and Bing doesnt show any results at all.

How do I check the back links pointing to a particular page of my competition in the search engine?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Now there is no good way to find the total number of backlinks of your competitors. If you use the Link: operator then it can show you just a few links and that also for very popular sites.

I have tried ahref.com. It is really good site for searching site statics. I have also tried search engine but I feel that ahref is good. You should also try.

Once Yahoo Site Explorer went down it's gotten a LOT harder to do backlink research. SEO Spyglass is pretty good, as is ahrefs.com. Both can be pretty pricey though.
