Hello guys...

Can you tell me which is the best and most reliable software which shows me in detail how many backlinks my competitors have and much more information about them in order for me to know exactly how to beat them?? Is market samurai worth to buy and use it for keyword research and competitors analyzing?? I want answers from people who have an experience in this field and they are in first page in google for specific keywords!! I do not want to waste my money cause I am serious to MAKE MONEY!

thank you,
zourkas

MS is awful for analyzing backlinks.

SpyGlass is the best option. The free version of SpyGlass will pull up to 1000 backlinks for a site. For small niches, that will usually be sufficient. If you are moving up to something more competitive, I would consider buying it.

You don't have to spy on your competition site to figure it out why site is ranked high, you can look up they ON page as well PR of particular domain as well age to know also you can simply search on Google for that domain...

If you are thinking of spaming your competition then make sure that it dosent lead back to you or your website or there is no point in doing it.

Market Samurai does have a competition module that analyzes the on-page seo for the top 10 sites for a keyword. It will allow you to potentially pick up on some of their shortcomings and be sure your site is fully optimized.

I have used MS for a few years and like it. I use it mainly for ranking reports.

If all your looking for is backlinks Alexa.com will also show a list of them for any site you input. You don't have to purchase or download anything.

You'll have to open each site one by one though if you want to see the PR of them and use something like the seoquake firefox plugin.

my vote too goes to ahrefs and majestic seo, another option is seomoz, but I find the first two have a much more accurate backlink database.

The problem with those tools is their database is only updated every few months.

Take all the links from them and import them into SpyGlass. Then let SpyGlass run and tell you which links still exist. Make your analysis from there.

            Incorrect.
Majestic seo has 2 databases, historic and fresh, historic gets updated once a month, fresh now only recently has started updating many times in the day, you could place a press release out in the morning and have it in the fresh database in the same afternoon.
