Market samurai mega fail?

Until now, I have been using market samurai with great success, but today they decided to do an update which totally screwed up their tracking
if you want more than 50 words now you need to pay monthly if you want more than one check a week you simply can't....

Anyway, I just emailed them hoping for a refund as this program is definitely not what i was buying back then.

My question those anyone now of any equal tracking tools?

I am tracking my keywords daily any suggestions?

    There are lots of tools including the free RankChecker from SEO book.

    I'm surprised you didn't realise this was happening though, I mean they told their customers months ago and it's all over their blog.

    So they didn't just "decide to do an update", this is has been a long time coming.

    Agreed it was a long time coming. I will upgrade & pay as I know that Market Samurai puts a lot of time and effort into keeping up with changes that google makes.

    With as many updates that Market Samurai makes it was unsustainable as a 1 time paid product.

      Exactly, all I've paid is £67 when it first came out and that was years ago.

      Not a mega fail, and too be honest tracking ranking movements daily is dangerous and takes your eye off the final goal ---> MAKING MONEY

      There are so many different algos etc within Google that tracking every day you will see changes and get dishaeartend

      SEO is a long term thing as you probably KNOW :-)

    Using the word mega fail is something very irelevant.
    Market Samurai is one of the best keyword tool.
    As all of the software's out there they always have an update to make their service better.

    I only use Market samurai for keyword research now.

    I was really upset when Market Samurai decided to try and charge monthly for rank tracking because of their excuses that they had no option but to do that because of changes in Google when there were none.

    For about 6 months I've been using Magic rank tracker and am very happy with it.

    And it's only $27.

    Hi,

    They just updated the software to include 'RankTracker' which allows you to track 50 keywords free - with them providing weekly updates. If your an existing member not only do you get this, but you also have access to their 'deals' for paid packages for much larger numbers of keywords tracked.

    Haven't tried it yet, but trust it makes up for the all the problems they have encountered in recent months!

    Same here -- it's terrible.

    They've just made it unusable for me! 50 keywords?!

    Is that for all projects - or each project.

    Either way - i don't like it

    Why does keyword update button disappeared? I want to use manual updates with my proxies, but they removed the option. Huh. They said that they can't support their proxies anymore, but guess what.. i do not need their proxies, nevertheless they have broken the working tool...oh
