    Building links to your site is the best off page seo you can do.

    Even if they are just from free directories or your social media accounts this is better than none at all.

    Then in the future try to get other websites to link to yours because you have quality content.

    This is a sure fire way of increasing your website Seo rating!

    Nowadays, it would be to get social. So, build a Facebook page, a Twitter and Pinterest account for your website. And start interacting with your potential customers.

    1) it gives you direct traffic to your site
    2) it helps your site move up in the SERPs

    Using social bookmarks (digg, stumbleupon,...) is also a good way to give your site a nice little start.

    You are about to be a very busy person. Getting the site ready is not even half the battle!

    As said before, you need to build links. I have had great success building links through blog commenting. You get a good link plus traffic has potential of coming to your site from that link.

    If you want to be white hat then just think "promotion". Go around and promote your site the best you can and do things that you feel will bring in visitors. Eventually this well help your SEO. If you want to be grey hat then we can go on for days and days on what you can be doing.
