Nothing major, mostly increases in my rankings.

Google already stated its going to affect 1% of their searches so nothing major here.

Almost everybody was hit by that Panda update. Some benefited from it, but most got penalized.

How can you possibly say that with a straight face?
      Complete rubbish.

For each site that drops, there is a corresponding page that
      takes its place.

How can you possibly make a statement about "everybody"?

Okay. If everybody means lame people with lame sites doing
the same old lame things. Then I guess everybody did
get hit. But not "everybody" has a lame site doing lame things.

There are literally billions of web pages, with thousands getting
      indexed daily.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

    Lost us?

The updates that keep being mentioned are implimented over a long period of time by all the search engines.. EG, when an algorithm is changed it is tested for months and months and introduced across the core code over weeks and weeks... so if you *think* you are seeing changes because of an "update" with an "animal" name, that is just the SE's way of telling you that it is there, not that it is launched!

If you have Aged EMD's with no spam crap content, with no backlinks to spam crap networks, with pages that have no spam articles on them, no site will be affected, if you do, then sort it out so you have *quality* *diversity* & *interesting topical* content, that way you will not get penalised as you see it on the engines

His meaning should be "most of his sites" instead of "most"

Google refreshed its Panda 3.9 update on July 24 just after a month of Panda 3.8. Google said that this refresh helped webmasters to build high quality sites and effects 1% of sites.
