If your competition is 8 out of 10, perhaps you should reconsider another keyword. Your competition are probably run by SEO pros and people like myself (just starting out... perhaps you too?) should earn our training wheels off keywords which are less competition (the lower the better, but traffic volume must be there).

At your stage (new site), I think you are safe with 10-20 backlinks per day. After a few weeks (and dozens of pages of content later), you can intensify it further.

Also 14 keywords looks like it is too many to target for a start. Perhaps you should narrow it down to 3 (or maybe just 1) to focus on first. I tend to have much better results when doing that. *Note This doesn't mean that you should ignore anchor text diversity.

I guess 10 quality backlinks per day would work well. keep doing until your keyword get stabilized in google.

The number of backlinks you are talking about building is small and as such you should have no problem with Google by building this many. The problem lies if you built this many for a month or so and then suddenly 20,000 a week and then back to a small number again. It might look suspicious.

However Google may just ignore this high level of spam looking backlink types and count your normal organic looking ones. I think if you are doing 7-10 a week you should continue to do this until you see some movement in the right direction in the serps, you can then re-evaluate how many to build as your site ages.

You can't build too many links, just not going to happen.

Well lets look at it like this,

If your site is getting maybe 6-10 hits a day, Google knows this.....
You think " I need 1000's of back-links like yesterday" so you go out and start building 100's of links a day, and outsourcing seo services as well. So now your money site is getting plugged with 1000's of links each and every day. Do you think that this looks natural, NOPE! And Google WILL find this pattern using their Algorithm's.

Sorry long story short, you should only build as many links as you have traffic hits to your site. So yes 5 to 10 links a day is a very good and stable SEO plan.

Matt Cuts: Google SEO Employee, has a ton of Youtube videos full of all sorts of great information on this subject.

But let me clarify this a lil bit more. "I have a new site with no traffic at all" Great, still use the 5-10 links a day plan. And make sure your using a diverse linking strategy.

I just red you reply again - thank you. And i agree that 5-10 backlink a day its ok. the problem like I wrote it above....is having 1-14 different keywords. And if each keyword have only one backlink a day its nothing! it wil do nothing to my ranking. And also...lets say its ok to build only one bakcklinks per day each keyword....still....Im using a diverse linking strategy...so it mean that each keyword will have only a few backlinks with the main anchor text each month???
Again...7-10 moths old domain....2 of the keywords on page 1 spot 5.
Maybe i just need to give up and build backlinks to only 5-7 different keywords?
What seo experts are doing they are never try to rank more than 1 keywords per site??

The competition is not too high but not low at all. A rating of 1-10 I would say that competition is the level of 8.
Some of my backlinks are on high PR pages and some of them on a very low pr like pr1-2.

I think, you don't need build too many links for keywords, you just build from 10 to 20 high quality links then build backlinks for 20 link this, it would be better for Google penguin and your ranking.

YES, I agree. VASEO has touched on a simple, yet powerful way to increase your PR and lend juice to your SERP's.
Or you can just order Vaseo's service to get this done for you (NO I have NOT used VASEO's services, nor am I working for VASEO).

I can tell you that a SEO campaign that involves multiple domains, 100's of back-links, keeping up the all the Google updates.......It's a huge work load, especially if your a one person act. Accounting, Back office, customer support, design, concept, SEO, SEM, ext, ext. Not that I am encouraging outsourcing, But some times it can alleviate some stress.

Thank you guys. Most of you gave me the same advice - 5-10 backlinks per day (and even 20 backlinks its ok) But I still didn’t get the solution for my main question....:-(:-(

I understand that too many its not ok....I understand that the Quality is much more important than quantity...And I know I have to be consistent with my building backlinks strategy....im doing it all.
My main question is:
Although the quality of links is more important than quantity, still, the number of links is very important, according to your answers it seems most of you agree with me.
So This id the question and I’m trying to be very clear:

You said about 5-10 backlinks a day. Ok, I will do it, B-U-T,,I have 10-14 different keywords.
If i will put only 1 backlinks per keyword i will do nothing to m ranking. I need about 3-5 backlink to each keyword each day.
So....5 backlinks per keyword....each day with 10 different keywords ...it will be 50 backlinks per day....per week it will be 250 backlinks and per month more than 1000 backlinks - Its not too many???
And if its too many....how can i improve my ranking for each of the keyword without build a least 3-5 backlink to each keyword every day??? (its not a new domain)
If 1000+ backlinks per month its too many how seo expert are offering a deal with ranking 10-20 different keywords???

To make it easier for you to answer me: My website is about 7-10 mouths (dont remember the date i bought it) and 2 of my keywords are already on page 1 (5 spot).
So its not a old domain but also i cant say its a completely new website.
My backlinks are from all types of pr pages - pr0 and pr8 as well.
And last thing...its 10-14 different keywords BUT NOT the same page....Itsa about 7-8 different pages eash one with main keywords im trying to rank.

Please please please let me know what you think.

I guess 50-100 backlinks per day would work well. keep doing until your keyword get stabilized in google.
