Difference between Follow and No Follow

Hello all
I want to know what is the difference between the Follow and no Follow?Are No Follow links useless?

    Actually, followed links are not rare. They are only rare when it comes to things such as blog comments. Matt Cutts has stated various time that nofollow links on the web account for less than 5% of all links known to Google.

    No follow links are those, which do not have any important in the eye of search engine and are not counted in time of ranking. Follow or do-follow links are just opposite.
    No follow links also have importance as they are useful to attract direct traffic.

    No-follow links are not useless and google always like mixture of links (both do-follow and no-follow).
    NoFollow link is the hyperlink that tells search engines not to pass the credibility, link juice or influence to an outbound link.
    Do Follow links pass link juice to the outbound link.

    Nofollow links aren't useless and they will not harm your seo efforts. Google likes to see a natural pattern when building links to your sites, it's the same thing as with anchor texts: if you only use one keyword as your anchor text, will that look natural in G's eyes? No, it won't, so a mixture of dofollow/nofollow links can only benefit your seo efforts (obviously the vast majority should be dofollow links).

    follow = the search spiders crawl the link and jump to the site.
    No follow= the search engines crawl the link but do not jump to the linked site.
