HelloTXT/Ping.fm Alternative?

I've read a lot of posts on here about both Ping.fm and Hellotxt, warriors searching for alternatives.

As of today, HelloTXT have announced they are closing up shop. A WP Plugin of mine used ping.fm, after great struggle we switched to Hellotxt and now they're shutting down.

Pixelpipe isn't accepting new users.

Hootsuite isn't giving out API's as far as I know and it now only submits to 5 or 6 sites.

Any new/old alternatives guys?

Otherwise, I am seriously considering having my own platform built for public use. Thanks!

I am also looking for a new FREE service.
Ping.fm was nice but now gone and Hellotxt just said they are closing soon.

I dont need all the other stuff these other services offer.
I just want to post to the same amount of sites the Ping & Hellotxt did.

Honestly, these free tools get hit by spammers, they lose their reputations and they really become unstable. I prefer 2 paid services.

Onlywire - Posts to 47 different social media and bookmarking sites. $10 for 1000 posts + $3 for captcha solving (very useful)

LinksAlpha - Posts to many different social media sites and only $4.99 a month

If you are lazy like I am you can go to fiverr and get people to set up the free versions and accounts at all their supported sites and then upgrade those accounts to paid and rock on...

All of these support RSS to Post as well which is what we use it for a lot...

    Hope that helps

    Sean

how many social networks can you send to using Seesmic Ping ?

I see the free one lets you have Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook & Tumblr.
are there any more with the $4.00 a month paid plan ?

like WordPress, Blogger, Friend Feeder, Bebo, Plurk, StatusNet,
Multiply, Identica, Myspace & Shoutem or more ?

Seesmic only posts to 4-6, useless really. The problem is spammers...

They can't keep up with them, the free services that is.

I don't see why ping.fm/hellotxt didn't introduce a monthly fee and limitations for the free accounts.

if either one had charged $4-$5 a month and allowed 20-30 posts I would have went for that.

I just send out posts to social media sites about type of work and services I offer in my area.

I dont send out more then 25 a month.

Looks like linksalpha is the ultimate alternative, but free account limitations render it useless. But at $5/month it's a steal!

I dont see on linksalpha where you can send a post out from there to all your accounts at once.

I am also looking for alternative of ping.fm but sounds nothing there. I guess out of paid services onlywire is the best possible solution. Will keep on searching if found some solution will share.

well I went with OnlyWire for a few months until they removed the "Status" and now
have Bookmark and Advanced post, which both require you to use a URL.

that's good most of the time, but 60% of the time I'm just wanting to send text out
to my social networks and dont have use for a URL post.

I do like LinksAlpha, but I can only send statuses to Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn.
I cant figure out the publisher stuff

why cant there be a basic service like Ping.FM or HelloTxt again !

even Seesmic is gone now !

I used hootsuite one time, put few links on 2 or 3 pages and day after one page got deleted, that was very negative experience with auto posting .
Can I for example schedule like 10 post on 20 pages in a day with Hootsuite pro account?
(I am already doing this manually for a year) Will I get blocked by facebook or hootsuite?

I don't know of any alternatives. I don't agree with these types of services. You're better off manually submitting to just a handful of sites. Most people don't develop relationships and followings on all of these sites anyways.
