Social Bookmarking for SEO

From my experience it's a good starting tool.

I use it on new websites it provides a little boost and helps get you indexed quickly.

A lot of social bookmarking websites are nofollow which is something a lot of people have a problem with but I've always thought a mixture of nofollow/dofollow links is healthy practice.

I have received boosts from rankings before using social bookmarking usually it's nothing significant maybe a few spots but there is always a time or two when it gives me a huge boost.

For completely untapped niches I've ranked keywords using only social bookmarks but when I say untapped I mean not a single website of competition.

Whenever I do Social Bookmarks towards my website I try to do around 500-750 at a time from the highest PR Social Bookmarking sites and drip them over the course of 24-48 hours

Hope that gives you a little idea of how effective they are

but wouldn't google find it unnatural or "inhuman" behavior if you suddenly had 500 social bookmark links overnight?

Websites that go viral get anywhere from 10k to 500k links overnight

They still do just fine!

It's up to you honestly we all have our own personal opinions

We all take our own precautions some people knock on wood blah blah

Just do what you're comfortable with, if dripping them over the course of a week makes you feel better then take that route

If your site is new then build only some bookmarks links and if your site become some months old then you can build higher number of bookmark links!

I've personally had the best results having Social Bookmarks manually created by a person or two overseas. This keeps everything from looking nearly as automated and is still a great way to get links.

While I can't recommend any software you may want to get yourself a solid list of 200-300 social bookmarking sites and then outsource the work through a site like odesk.com or elance.com. You can find some really quality workers on there and get all of the work you need done for $5-$15, which is a small investment for the benefits Social bookmarks bring to a new site.

My favorite resource is a huge list that they have up on Social Maximizer under the "List of Bookmark Sites" tab. I'd post a direct link but this Professional profile is still new to Warrior forums

You'll have to put in a bit of work to get all of these results into a nice spreadsheet but it's much easier than trying to find all of the bookmarks on your own. Social Maximizer also allows you to pay them a fee to put you into the bookmarking sites, but I've found cheaper rates outsourcing directly.

Glad I could help! I've found most of the sites on that list require manual which is why I outsource to a great guy on Odesk and then have him space out the work over a few days. You still get the benefits of manual links without having to do it all yourself. With the tracking the give you are even able to spot check and see that your worker is creating them manually as it grabs screenshots every 5-10 minutes.

Bookmarks are an important signal for SEs and should be incorporated in a diverse link profile. But if you're expecting any desirable rankings from only these BMs, it's not going to happen, they just don't carry the weight.

I am not that confident on submitting to hundreds of social bookmarking sites. I prefer choosing a few quality high ranking sites to submit my bookmarks. To get quality links such as PR 4 to 9, .edu and .gov links give Ardor Backlinks and Auto Backlink Service a try. I highly recommend it.

The best is to do it manually. and you shouldn't do it massively for one site. use different websites and select 50 SB sites where you should post your stories regularly. that's the best way to make your site an authority
