I have just purchased a domain name with a PageRank of 6, would you guys build the website up and then put a homepage link to your main website or would you just do a 301 redirect to your main.

Please give reasons

    Check if it's indexed in Google, than do the 301. If it's not, make a content and index it first.

    I hope that's a valid PR 6 you have not a fake. If so that's a nice find.

    Building a home page link would so some good for your website maybe boost it up a few spots.

    A 301 though... That will transfer the PR make your website an authority allow it to rank easier. You could send links to the 301 and it will act as a tier 1 link and help rank your website. So this is definitely the right way to go.

    There's a lot more I didn't mention but a simple google search of something like "the benefits of a 301 redirect" would probably give you a lot more information.
