#1 in Google - Without even trying - Take THAT Panda!

Yep.

I just checked after a fellow member sent me a PM.

In their PM they mentioned that I was #1 in Google for a certain phrase. I had to go check, and it turns out that not only am I #1, but I DOMINATE the listings for the term when it is placed in quotes.

Let me explain.

One of my big interests is language. As a sort of joke I decided to put "I am on fire" in my sig. However, I did it in a combination of German ("Ich bin") and Spanish ("en fuego").

Well, I didn't even try, but as of now, I am ranked #1 in Google for Ich bin en fuego, not in quotes. There are other results below mine when the term is not in quotes. BUT when put in quotes "Ich bin en fuego" seems to show ONLY my profile and posts I have made here.

So...

TAKE THAT PANDA!!!!!

    You are ranked #1 for a 'keyword' that doesn't have any competition (because it doesn't make sense).

    I guess this proves that Google likes relevancy even if it is garbage.

      How can such a phrase not have any competition?

      I'm sure Google likes relevancy, and the fact that I may be the only person on the planet using the phrase is relevant...to Google...for that phrase.

      But, the real point of my post is to point out that uselessness of promises like "We can get you to #1 on Goolge." It's actually quite easy to get to #1 in Google, IF you choose words that don't get any competition.

      Even though it's meant to be a silly phrase, I did find it kind of neat that I was all alone on the #1 position. Maybe not as neat as the first $1 I earned online, but it gave my mood a boost for the day.
