Joomla to Wordpress Need Advice

One of client owns a Joomla site wherein I'm not so familiar with and beside it's best choice for SEO. So I suggest him to from joomla to wordpress and he said to me ok do it that.
I said to myself what! I was just suggesting, I have to idea how to do that simply because I never tried doing it before. I tried to Google but none seems to be posting step by step instruction on how to do it.
I might mess things up with his site and I don't want that. But I'm good in following instructions.
