SERPS Display Issue

For some of my posts Google shows the domain name at the end of the title. In other words, say that I have written a review about the iPad and my domain name is Apple Reviews, it shows:

"iPad Review - Apple Reviews"

instead of

"iPad Review"

I've noticed that the posts that are displayed like this are ranking lower, which can't be a coincidence. All of my posts use the same format so I'm a bit surprised as to why this is happening to a select few.

Any ideas?
