Local Domain Extension SEO

I'll keep it short and simple.

I have a EDM called http://luciddreaming.co.nz
the keyword Lucid Dreaming has 1000 exact local searches.
When searching in google.co.nz, the top 10 for the keyword would be nearly impossible to outrank with a .com extension.

My questions is: Do I have a chance at ranking on the first page for the keyword Lucid Dreaming on google.co.nz? Keep in mind that it will contain ALL needed information (articles) and certain lectures/meditation classes in New Zealand.

Thanks in advance.

Judging by your sig, what do you expect a real person
on the WF to think? Your question makes no sense
and can't be answered. Nobody knows the answer.
Try real hard, and come back and give us a report.
Could you do it? I still can't decipher the question.
You have a .co.nz, but ask about a .com?

    " 10 PR9 Dofollow Backlinks From High Authority Sites - $5 "

    Complete nonsense.

With a sig like that, man, P.T. Barnum must be rolling over
    in his grave.

    Lucid Dreaming. Of spam, perhaps.

You couldn't even get 10 PR9 backlinks, let alone find someone
gullible to give you a five spot.

My conclusion is that you are spamming for the backlink. The
proof of the post is in the sig.

Take your attention off the sig for a second.

My question is, should I bother with the website? Because I don't want to keep trying pointlessly.

"Lucid Dreaming. Of spam, perhaps." What do you mean by that?
My thread and my sig are two different things and have nothing to do with eachother, other then the fact that they both come under the same topic - seo.
