OK so I used to run a site called Interestingly : Questions, Answers and Discussions but now have relaunched it on a new url Interestingly : Questions, Answers and Discussions.

The query I have is Interestingly : Questions, Answers and Discussions and Interestingly : Questions, Answers and Discussions now link to my new live site so google is getting confused indexing my content.

Do I need to leave the old site live for a few months?

Get rid of the old site and do a 301 redirect from the old domain to the new domain

Actually this can be really confusing to choose the right content of your site as the both url has actual same tag. You should leave the old url.
