HI, I have been doing SEO for quite some years now. I have never been found of link building. But today the internet is growing and the competition is getting tougher and tougher. Does anyone know of a really good killer manual link builder, or is the best way to still manually input your links to relevent categories that relate to your keywords?

I would say doing everything manually is the better option, I still am in the belief that most of these automated services heart your ranking. However, due to the new Google updates people seem to be increasingly using them, thinking they need to build more links, rather than better quality links. The problem is with any automated link building tools you never truelly know where the link is ending up and how Google reacts to this kind of irregular link building.

Thank you for such a quick reply. This is how I feel. But as any man, sometimes short cuts are always in the back of the mind. Another question I would like to ask in regards to building backlinks. I have looked at many charts on the assumed statistics on PR and how many backlinks it takes to gain one PR level. Some stats say if you add 3 backlinks on a PR5 site or forum, it shoulf you give you a PR1. If this stat is true, how long does it take for google to rank your PR once you have several backlinks?

Create great content that people will naturally want to link to - because it's beneficial to others. Do a bit of article marketing, and submit your website to the website directories.

    • Hi there
I'm a newbie in this forum. Have a question that I didn't see around here. I have used pinging tool where you paste a URL. I want a tool similar to pingfarm.com which is for pinging a site but where I can use my own quality mass bulk backlinks to submit. Copy paste & submit solution

Hi, thanks for the tips. But it seems the best ways are manual links. Are their any tools out there that I can put on my own site that are free that build backlinks without leaving my site?

In my opinion there are three ways to go about backlink building. All with their pro's and con's.

1.) Develop a blog network. You purchase sites that already have pr, then drop links back to your site. Mike Anthony has posted a lot of information on WF about this method.

2.) Manual linkbuilding, ie.) high pr blog commenting, guest posts, etc. This method takes more work than the others, and is less effective. Especially with you take into account your time. Most high pr blogs are spammed to death. So very little of their pr gets passed to your site. In comparison your own blog network passes all of the pr juice.

3.) Use automated software to develop a more complex linking structure. At this time, the most effective method is tiered linking. This type of linking is not really discussed much on this forum, and when it is you will find little information of use. But basically you want to construct at least 3 tiers. Each tier links to the one above, and the 1st tier links back to your money site. You then blast your tiers with mass backlinking tools.
To really be effective, it is going to take time to master this style of linking. It does your site very little good to just load up a program like SeNuke and blast links. Even if you are building them in tiers, Senuke will not be effective against high competition.

I would recommend either 1 or 3. I started with using automated software when I had more time than money. Now I am building out a high pr network of my own. That being said, if I had to start over I would go with the blog network. Higher upfront costs, lower long term costs. And it took me forever to learn to use automated software effectively. Literally months upon months where I was making no money, and spending money trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. In comparison, you should be able to master a high pr network with a few hours of studying the principles behind it.

Instead of just guessing, why not invest into a paid workshop or course, and do it properly?

The only REAL shortcuts are to build a system, refine it, then outsource it. That's the only way you can remove yourself from the equation and still get results.

It really depends on how you want to look at your links.

Automated link building can certainly be effective if you know what you're doing. Using spun content is fine IF you're going to check that it's readable beforehand.

Doing things manually definitely gives you the best chance of the link remaining in place, BUT it takes a long time, especially if you have multiple sites to promote.

In terms of page rank, Google never give away exactly how they assign PR, nor do they tell us when they are going to do a PR update. From my own observations I would say that PR now has a strong social component - the more tweets and facebook shares your site gets, the quicker it will build PR.

Super, Thankyou. the PR you told me just explained a lot about the tweets. I have a PR1 site with no backlinks, but a lot of tweets. this could be the reason. Also, what automate link building system are you using?

Actually this is not true - Google shared all the details of the PageRank algorithm years ago and it's been used by many companies in other fields as diverse as medicine to make predictions of all kinds.

PageRank is however just one small part of what goes in to Google's complete decision making process for ranking sites and it's much less important than it used to be.

If you want to purchase link then purchase links from high page rank authority website. There is a software that will build back links for you.

You have to generate the names - software will make emails for you up to 1000 - you have to put in the comments, around 500 is good - find a list of dofollow blogs targeted to your niche - hit start and get a list of the good links.

Doing this the first time dropped my rank by 1 mill in the alexa rank overnight.

This is in the warroom. Take a gander and look in there.

      Good Luck

        • Automated link building works, but it's very difficult to find a quality tool and use it in the right way. It is better to build links manually. Try to obtain backlinks from various sources and use appropriate anchor text.

Get some videos on to YouTube and the OneLoad. My site went to PR2 and Alexa ranking of just over 800k in less than 30 days with less than 30 videos.

HI, thank you for the reply. I believe I am doing it right. But the keyword is a very high searched term. I have done some killer YouTube videos. They are in the number one sopt for YouTube for my keywords. also my videos are underneath me in the serps by one position. If I mss one day of backlinks. I fall to position 14 from position 11. Any ideas to get me past the competition? I am in DMOZ and 100's of directories. There has to be some kind of power booster somewhere. Not automated. Never! I have been doing this since the DOS days in college in 1994 and have changed with the flow (I think). If anyone has a great idea to break the second page, please let me know. Don't fall into the trap where people say that they will build 1000 backlinks in a week's time. Instead of increasing PR, it will eventually decrease it. Building the backlinks naturally, is the most effective way of creating backlinks.
Put quality content, comment on blogs related to your niche, submit site in top quality directories, make your website as your signature while posting in forums and try to exchange two way links with other sites which are related to your niche.

I'd never build links manually. In my opinion that's just crazy. Why?

Because in the time I spend to manually rank a website, I could make more money than the website will be worth to me in the end (assuming it's med-hi competition KW).

There's nothing wrong with automation, that's like saying cars are bad because we should all walk on foot.

However, if you break the gas pedal, that's not good either - so the key is to be smart and intelligent and use automation for something that you would normally do manually.

For link building purposes, I absolutely recommend Magic Submitter, it's $5 1st month and you can configure it for any site you want (including the sites that come by default).

The tool has everything, from social boomarks, article submissions, press releases, web 2.0 submissions, forum profile creation, RSS feed submission, etc. and an integrated TBS spinner (which is awesome).

The sites are a very good mix of dofollow/nofollow, but you can pick out the ones you like best (for example if you wish to use only the high PR sites with dofollow backlinks).

I am there. I will let you know how it pans out. I am a little scared too use automated software because I am ranking on the second page of google for the keyword 'buy views' I am trying to hit the first page. I am manually building backlinks, but i do not progress past the bottom of the first page, but mostly remain on page 2. I am tempted to give it a shot. will let you know, but i do not know if i will do it on this keyword.

Link Building definitely brings you up in the SERPs, but how about PR, I read something the other day about buying extending the registration of your domain to a longer term and that google favors this. I extended my domain to the max term but see no results. I do not know if it is true, but will see, but how about PR, is backlinking alone enough to increase your PR?

Link building... Do follow forums, directory submissions (fast directory submitter works for me to an extent), blog comments just stick to the bread and butter and you'll get there...

Do you think these link wheels work well, or do they just hurt you?

According to me you should do it manually and it is the better option, I still believe that most of these automated services hurt your ranking and tehre is a great chance to get caught

I definitely agree. It is a lot of work, but it must be done. It is strenuous and tiring. Buy some eye drops, it helps. If you want it done right, gotta do it yourself.

It is true that doing things manual is better but also time consuming. People rather just spam like crazy to get results until google updates show up. They get enough profit to just start another website. In a way this is unfair but i have seen it happen, but it's unnatural link building. You are better off guest blogging other relevant sites, target the keyword you want but limit yourself. Do maybe 10 guest posts with amazing content and then rank those pages up and force link juice. This way you don't seem eager and its safer rankings.

This guy is an excellent natural, manual link builder. He attracts links using techniques such as infographic creation and distribution, guest posting and finding niche specific links.
