Hi,

I'm creating my first Squidoo lens mainly for the purpose of the backlink to my money site. I have put a 500w article on there with a Youtube video but when I press submit I'm getting the message saying along the lines of it is too short but I can still submit but it won't get submitted to search engines etc. Does this matter if I'm mainly using this for the purpose of the backlink and if it does on top of what I have already done what to do I need to do to stop that message?

Thanks,
Dan

It's possible the "too short" message refers to the number of squidoo "units" (I dunno what else to call them) on the page rather than the number of words.

It should be really easy to add more units (like a poll, a big picture, etc). They don't take any effort. And try splitting up your 500w article into 2 or three text units with headings.

Most probably you need more modules. Just a text module and a video module does not a Squidoo lens make. And try to stop thinking of Squidoo in terms of 'x words article'. Squidoo is much more interactive than that.

If you had created squidoo lens only for marketing purpose, keep in mind that you have to go for specific niche with brief and interactive content within in your lens writing. Apart for your issue with content, As kislany said, i agree with her that only just 2or 3 basic modules aren't enough to decorate and going viral to publish your lens. Keep it more unique with subject with rich elements.
