I have a website up, running, and optimized.

So now I'm planning on just doing social bookmarking, web 2.0 (article), article submissions, and blog commenting.

Is that fine?

That sounds good, just make sure not you are posting high quality content. Avoid spammy services such as 10,000 blog comments and such.
I'd go for 10 high quality manual backlinks than 10,000 spammy blog comments any day.

Any service that guarantees 1st position in Google is a clear signal not to hand over any money.

Thats right bro.. If anyone says their service can get you the number 1 spot in google, RUN!

I guarantee you that if they can do it for you, they'd have done it for themselves ages ago and would not need you to buy their service.

Sounds like a good strategy to me!

Like Eythil said, just make sure that you are making quality backlinks, and not spammy ones. That means you need to write unique content, make manual blog comments, manual social bookmarks, and do not spin your articles! Google is penalizing sites all over the place because they have backlinks from spun articles.

    Hey...

Its a good strategy, and try to use only quality sites for off page activities. Also you can try Link wheel for getting good response.

    Good Luck ...

  • yes you can go ahead with this. But one thing do high quality links. Don't do much more low quality links.

looks like I good plan but when you are makng the backlinks, make them more diverse. eg.
30% generic terms eg. "cklick here" "source" "read more"
      40% brand name/URL eg. "mysite" "mysite.com" "http://mysite.com"
      20-25% longtail keywords
      5-10% main keywords

this will make the backlinks look a lot more natural and will help, panda and penguin love natural diverse anchor text

PS. with the web 2.0 sites write 1 article for each and put your backlink in but also add more without your backlinks on so the web 2.0s don't look spammy.

That's fine as long as you:
    - blog comment in relevant and quality blog post that with authority and benefits
    - bookmark in the major social bookmark share and already have an active connection there (not just bookmark your link and leave without any further action. Interact with other people will also help in getting some traffic)
    - web 2.0 related your own site with quality and valuable articles
And the bottom line is about quality backlinks.
