Domain and Sub-domain

I am planning to buy a premium domain and later on build sub-domains. But the question is that, "Is it wise to do affiliate marketing with sub domains". For example,

I bought a domain called abcd.com, which is premium.

Now, I am selling Syma helicopters, then I will make symahelicopters.abcd.com

This way I can get exact match sub-domains. So, can this sub-domains dominate serps and outrank other domains.

I dont think it's a problem. Craigslist uses all kinds of sub-domains. Keep in mind that each sub-domain is considered it's own website. So you have to have a hosting plan that offers unlimited domains. You can do a search here at WF and find info about this.

There will be no problem at all. Your main site's ranking will be helpful for your subdomain's ranking. I think it is a great idea to have subdomain.

I agree with comments above... It will help your main domain because you will have well organized contents thus making it easier for you to rank your sub domain because it is its own site relevant to the affiliate that you want.

Anyway, these are the thread you should take a look. The danger/disadvantage of using sub-domain after penguin update, these thread are related to sub domain.[/URL]
I am back Mr. Lim. Thanks for the valuable resources but still, I have some questions....

      Google Guidelines @http://www.webpronews.com

"However, in some cases, content is deliberately duplicated across domains in an attempt to manipulate search engine rankings or win more traffic"
I am not duplicating the content but I will have different content on sub-domain.
For example, on main domain, I will have some basic content about my services. (www. example. com)
      On sub-domain 1: health products (health.example.com)
on sub domain 2: electronic products (electronic.example.com)
      on sub-domain 3: gardening products (gardening.example.com)

So, this way, I can easily create Exact match sub-domiains.

"Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content."

I am not in mood to duplicate content on sub-domians, I will have different content on every sub-domain. so, are there any chances of penguin slapping or as an experienced marketer, what you do suggests?
