Disqus Blog Comments

I use Disqus on my blog. All comments are well indexed on Google. I recommend it.

For example, search for following on google,

එකනං එච්චර හොඳ අදහසක් නෙවෙයි. ඹයාගේ පදිංචිය ලංකාවෙ නං මෙකෙන් ඈත්වෙලා ඉන්න ඒක තමයි ඇගට ගුණ

It's a comment left by me. As you can see, it''s indexed without problem

Even if blog comments are useless for seo, you still need them for link diversity. Dofollow blog comments are more less impossible to find these days. No wants to give up their link juice.

1. They are definitely not useless.
2. You can find plenty of dofollow blogs if you know how to look.

I tend to stay away from Disqus blogs. If you cannot see the comment when you view the html source on the page then the google bot isn't going to see it either.

Doesn't matter, if you're gaining targeted traffic with this then it's fine. It's a comment management system. You can create your own though if you want but if you want a simpler one, this is fine.

KeywordLuv enabled blogs are generally dofollow.

You can also "follow" people around who have already commented on a DoFollow blog. Since, chances are, they've commented on others. This works best if they use unique anchor text. Example: "Ron from Best Gardening Supplies"

Plug that into Google, select "Discussions" and go. Of course this is going to be mind-numbingly time consuming, so you're better off using a tool like Scrapebox if you'd prefer to do it yourself vs purchasing a list / package that is already put together.

Even with Scrapebox, though, it still takes me about 3-4 days to gather all of the URLs, run DoFollow checks, run PR checks, gather other posts from the blogs, etc. (If I'm putting together a large list.)

Google's crawlers can use Javascript and scrape content that was generated by Javascript.

So they are definitely not useless.

There are plenty of people that offer commenting services. Especially here @ the Warrior Forum.

Why thinking so much before making a comment? IM is not the same game for everyone. Results may differ in different section. You cannot deny anything including disqus.

No one can come up with one example where a disqus comment has been indexed by Google. Yes the Google bots can read javascript from certain sites (facebook) but it does not mean that this is enabled for all websites. I think they're useless and pointless.

Comment links are fine for diversity but not serious link building.

And it doesen't matter too much if you find "follow" or "dofollow" comments. The way Google works nowadays: They assess what kind of link you have on the page. They can see that it's a comment link and will treat it like one.

I recommend leaving high quality manual comments, with your proper name and make the comment highly useful. That way, you can get some good targeted refferal traffic.
