in 4 hours i spent £10,got 49 clicks with an ctr of 0.19%

made no sales thou... im selling clothes

is this common, has anyone else has similar stats?

question is how many clicks will it take to make a sale. product is £20?

i have to have a limit on my ad spend and it has tomake a profit. but really do i throw more money at it. £10 was just a small test.

what % of those clicks will be a sale? 1 or 2%?

£100 should get 490 clicks. 1% would be 4.9 sales??? is that fair or wrong or?

any ideas?

You are just starting and likely doing many things wrong.

    1. CTR of 0.19% doesn't tell us much without more info. What's the average position? I'm guessing you might be opted-in to the content network.

    2. 49 clicks is nowhere near enough of a test. Also consider that if you made a sale, that's a 2% conversion rate. Most sites report about that or lower.

    3. Poor sales may be an indication of poor landing page. But you don't have enough significant data to know yet. Again, 49 clicks is nothing.

    4. Throwing more money at it is not going to help. First, you don't have the data to support anything. Second, even if you did, you are not fixing the core problem(s) of whatever it is you may be doing wrong and you don't even know what, if anything, you're doing wrong at this point. More money means you'll find out faster and could in fact be a good thing.

    5. From your limited data, yes, spending ten times more will get you about ten times the clicks, everything being equal. Improve ads to get better click rates and you'll get more clicks at lower cost. If you are satisfied with a 1% conversion rate, yes, you'd make 4.9 sales for those clicks. Bad news is, you'd make a loss of £2 going by your £20 sale price.
