rel=canonical advice please

hello all
im hoping for some advice please. my web developers re-designed my adult toy website some months back since then duplicate tags, descriptions etc show up in my webmaster account.
I also had much better ranking before the re-design took place
im trying to elimate this problem.
i have thought about using rel=canonical tags but not being technical minded im not sure if this is the right thing to be doing. ( and doing it correctly)
An example of a duplicate error thats showing is this:
christiarasextoys.co.uk/Massage?sortmethod=&page=1
christiarasextoys.co.uk/Massage?sortmethod=&page=3/
i have loads of these errors showing up because i sell over 1200 products. All the advice i can get is much appreciated to sort this problem out. thanks in advance
