SEO and Changing the host

Hi,
Does changing the host too frequently affect the ranking of the web site in search engines.
For example, if i change the hosting company 3 times in 2 months, does it affect the Page Rank? Because it is changing the server location, and also, each time the website cannot be accessed a few hours.

If your migration is done correctly, there shouldn't be "hours" of downtime... There shouldn't be really any at all...

Search engine ranking and Page Rank are two different things. Page Rank will not be effected by changing hosts, unless the site was down for an extended period of time (a few weeks).

The search engine ranking can change because of the location of the host. If you are trying to rank something in the U.S., but move your hosting to the U.K., that will make it harder to rank.

In my experience, moving to another host doesn't affect rankings. I've never moved many times over a short period of time, though.

At the same time, a few SEOs I know said they did experience rankings drops after they moved. So, go figure.

It depends on popularity of your site and google crawling rates. If your website crawled by google for every 3 hours then server transfer must be completed within that time. If it takes more than that then it may harm your rankings but never affect your PR.
