Adwords for List Building

I have been driving traffic to my website using adwords. It has just dawned on me that I should run them through an optin and capture their email to build a list before I send them to my offer..

I have set up the optin and thank you pages on my site but where do I put the PDF for the Free report I am going to give them for joining my list?

    Just store the pdf file anywhere on your server but remember the link URL .. and then once someone will optin ...your follow up email will contain the secret URL with the pdf file .. then will click on it and downlad screen will pop

        If the email capture is on the landing page, google requires
        a plethora of items for it be within adwords terms.

        Or you will just look like you are harvesting emails, which
        is not allowed.

        There's a laundry list of things you need. One of the
        things you cannot do, is offer ebooks in exchange
        for personal details, if that is the main purpose of the site.

        A small side bar opt in form, discreetly placed "may" be okay,
        but offering something as a free gift for an email is very,
        very dicey. You also must allow users to access the site
        without giving an email. There's more, but I'm too lazy to
        look them all up. I know one is that you need details on
        what you are going to do with the email, and how they can
        opt out, other things on that line.
