Newbie in Blogging. Help me

Hi everyone,
I like to start a blog on my own. I get the Domain which has 80% match case with my niche. I like to know the important things to do and not to do while feeding a blog.

Your help will be appreciated.

      Mate, how many posts per day will be fine for my blog? Actually mine is Health niche. I would like to give tips and like to write about latest available medical technology. so i can create awareness among latest medical technology.

      I got responses as 1 post/day that too at night time, 2-3/week and many like that. I'm really confusing about this count and got no idea which one to follow.:confused:

    If you are doing this blogging part time I suggest you should not jump into learning everything immediately because there are lot of things to learn unless of course if you consider it a full time job. The very basic is to make sure you have something to write everyday for the niche you have chosen. If you do this consistently people will eventually discover your site thru search engine results. Doing back linking and targeting keywords for niche comes next. Just do this slowly. Goodluck and happy blogging.

        There isn't a specific number of posts that you should go for. What matters is to be consistent and update your blog on a regular basis. If you post fresh content three days in a row and then you don't write anything for over a week, you will have a difficult time building loyal readership and keeping your visitors engaged.

    I have to agree with The Wastewater Man. Blogging in my opinion is starting to become overly saturated with boilerplate blog formats that may offer little to no readership value. If you do have the energy for blogs, then definitely write only about what you know and are passionate about.
