Does Google give PR to rel=noindex pages?

I have some custom image pages that my goal is to get some PageRank on them, and pass it back to the article that uses the image.
One of my image pages is outranking the article page, so I want to noindex all image pages, but I still want the image page to acquire PR.
It will be dofollow, noindex.
Will it still move up in PR over time?
