More than 1 backlink from a site?

This month in my seo strategy, I'm answering questions on Y answers, then in the source providing my link address.

But will having more than one backlink yahoo answers matter? I know people viewing the question might click, but I'm talking SEO wise. Does having multiple backlinks from the same domain do any good? Or should you just get one backlink and move on?

Help is appreciated.

      1) Yahoo answers hold a very minimum link juice

      thank you, good sir

That guys a moron don't listen to him.

Quora, Yahoo Answers, Linked In, etc. are good ways to 1) demonstrate your expertise and 2) bring relevant traffic to your site. It is about traffic not links.

If your just dropping links for the sake of building links you're doing it wrong.

Yahoo answers are totally waste of time in SEO terms.

Don't call other morons when 99% of you posts are total BS.

I've spent the last 59 months building 412 MFA sites. Each site averages 8 cents per day...I said average, some make up to 17 cents per day, PASSIVE INCOME! This income allows me to live comfortably and buy ANY flavor Jolly Rancher or Skittles I desire. Don't give in to fear, it CAN be done!

    Different view..
Yahoo Answers: While you aren't going to make a killing from it with some dedication over time you can generate some decent traffic from it. I get 15-20 unique visitors each day from it. (Yahoo Answer is a nofollow link)
Multiple links from single domain: If they are all of the same keyword then Mike and I agree you have wasted your time there however if they are of different keywords and your page actually targets those keywords then you could see some benefit from it. This does come down to how you have designed your content though, if you have a single keyword per article approach then multiple links from the same domain will not offer much in return.

    Clarrifying:

The links are dofollow(must be lvl 2)

I'm doing it for the sake of seo(getting more backlinks), not driving traffic.

I do leave good answers though, most are selected as best. And I don't complain when someone clicks a link and is brought to my site.

You are wrong. I have level 4 and the links i post are nofollow. They don't allow any dofollow links.

Like I said, I think we just have a different view of things. I do not view SEO as a single.. this is what you do but rather how you position your site to the rest of the internet. Yahoo Answers provide solid users in my opinion and those links are just as critical to the natural scheme of link building that Google wants to see. My site has a bounce rate of 7%, so I see no reason to change what I do. Does that mean I am right, nope.. just means it works for me and you asked the question

Don't just build links for the SEO benefit. You also want to build links that will generate direct traffic to your website. So that being said, I would keep hammering away at Yahoo Answers. You'll build up some SEO juice and a % of people will click on your link resulting in traffic to your site.

That was my original plan, but people in this thread have said the seo juice yahoo answer provides is completely minimal, if even relevant.

I continue to generate a following on these sites not only to create numerous of the same backlinks, but to promote my expertise and knowledge to huge amounts of an audience.

Yes, it brings semi decent traffic, but my strategy isn't based on these getting backlinks, just traffic. In essence, use it as a tool to demonstrate rather than a tool to generate backlinks and whatever traffic you bring to your site try to get them to share your article/site or follow you on other social sites

You can answer questions at level 1, which you start out as. It takes 250 points to get to level 2 at which time you can add source links to your answers which is what you are going for

Links are no follow and only good for direct traffic

You would get lots of traffic for yahoo.answer, it is right? and the nofollow links are also useful. if not, why lots of people get links from twitter or facebook? only for the direct traffic?

Even if they're no-follow they still help the cause.

Link diversity is key though. How natural does it look to Google if you only build do-follow links?

Those no-follow links may not carry any link-juice, but they help broaden your link portfolio.

I've got plenty of no-follow links. Now I'm looking exclusively for dofollow to increase pr.

If you have a lot of nofollow links, you can try to build some dofollow links now. Only dofollow links will not look natural to google.

Yahoo answers can be a source of targeted traffic. Forget about SEO purpose, you will get a good number of traffic through it if you give detailed and good answers.

I used to build a lot of backlinks on several high pr site, it seemed to be effective, and push the traffic to my site over 1000 unique IPs per day. But currently the traffic declined to around 100 IPS as these limited number of high juice site became nofollow.
