Any new update by Google??

Most of my sites have badly lost ranking recently. Is there any new google update like Penguin or something?

    You will know about it as soon as the update take place. This will be a world news. You should draw your attention into niche relevant backlink building and googl content building. I hope you understood.

    I have heard of penguin 2.0 starting 3 days ago, but cannot confirm. There are others seeing some movement. Once again I cannot confirm but there is some chatter around.

      A very interesting news. I didn't know about it. Let me check it through google. Only google can confirm about google updates.

        I did but nothing shows up. Some people, from other forum, noticed the same with their sites.

          Google is throwing in new updates all the time and they also like to test stuff. I've seen some keywords take strange hoops the last couple of days but could also be heavy dancing.

    There are like 500 Google Updates each year, pick a date....

    I usually notice major updates because I will notice an unusual increase in rank on odd keywords or on a page without a reason for it. Of which I have not really noticed anything but I am looking forward to it.

    Sure they are always updating...but as far as major updates, there is only a few. Matt Cutts has said the next one will be big...and then kind of danced around the answer. No official word yet though...could be a limited data set they are testing.

    Would be interesting to know the industries the people are seeing movement in.

    From what I understand:

    The roll-out of Penguin was just the start of that particular update. The big G will be doing smaller updates to their algorithm for quite a while until it completely levels out.

    It's hard to predict what the next ones will be, but if you focus on quality content and quality backlinks you should be fine.
