The best 'conversion' doesn't come from the network but from the marketer running the campaign.

Right. Your conversions will be only as good as your landing page's ability to convert. If the visitor is not convinced your offer is what they need, they just won't buy.

I just wanna suggest you stay away from facebook ads, because I'd bad experience with that. For me FB is just for tagging, share and fun community. If your product is related to IM then It'll be better if you spend this money here in Warrioforum banner ads.

  • Smallbusinesstoolkit,

I would be careful how you compare results across PPC networks like ones offered in search and ones offered on social media networks. Conversion rates will vary sharply between Adwords and Facebook even if all conditions are optimal (i.e. good sales funnel, excellent landing page, etc). Clickthru and subsequently conversion rates are much lower for social advertising than for search for most products and services.

Check out this post on the differences between the two,

    Hope that helps,

So true! Facebook has a lot to learn before even beginning to come close to Google in terms of paid advertising. If it is B2B you are trying to promote though, you might want to give LinkedIn a try.

I have also heard that facebook's ppc network is not on par with some of the others. I have never tried linkedin's though. There are also smaller networks out there where you can find good traffic without all of the advertiser competition.

Did you mean PPC networks with good quality traffic? or are we talking about networks that show ads to users e.g ad.fly traffic will be showed to your page when clicking on a random link someone posts and then directed to the real page. That traffic in my exp isn't that great, Or we talking about traffic that enters keywords has an interest in your product already?

because if there are any sites out there aside form google adwords and 7 search that have this traffic I would love to know it!
