can anyone give me a heads up on why my site would be NOT listed for search results in google?

It's been several weeks now, which is weird and the site was ranked really high for many of its keywords, obviously the traffic isnt there if you're not ranked.

Shit, all I've done was add a few articles to my site and posted some on ezine.

WTF?

Usually this happens when google changes ranking algorithms or data centers. It happens very often with new sites.

Just continue to add new content for your site and new backlinks. Submit a press release with one of the established websites. If you don't have a blog, add a blog on your domain. Ping it once you add new entries and submit the rss feed to feed directories. This will make the googlebot spiders give you some extra love.

And don't be impatient. SEO takes time .. and it's a game of numbers. Start building more sites.

I think there was a recent change in the algorithm, recently it took about 3 weeks to get new pages indexed only using social bookmarking links.. in the past it took faster.. another example is youtube.. in the past a youtube link got my pages indexed faster, now it seems to take a while..

        Hi Dave,

You may want to check it over at Google Webmaster Tools just to rule out any technical issues.

It's a good idea to build backlinks from sites with lots of targeted traffic relevant to your site. If you do this consistently over time you will find those type of links will eventually send you more traffic than the search engines. That way when Google dances your traffic only dips and never drys up completely.

yeah i check webmaster tools all the time.... it shows everything as ok..... but still no search results. My sites been in the niche since almost the beginning so theres a LOT of links out there.

i still think something fishy is going on.
