Was it Google Dance on my site?

Hi guys:
One of my pages (Toyota Hilux Vigo Double Cab) has persistently been number 7 in search for Toyota Hilux Vigo Double Cab and sometimes will sink lower then last week its fortunes changed and it was showing up number 1 in not just the search for Toyota Hilux Vigo Double Cab but in all searches for T.H.V but even Nissan navara double Cab and some 30 different searches and it was always number 1. That honeymoon lasted three days and the page has once again dropped in SERPs and is once again back to its original rank and only showing for its original keyword
Just wondering if there was a back-link that made it suddenly go in stratosphere or just the random proverbial Google Dance. If it was link juice then why did it last only three day.
